Biography

I attended Morehouse College and studied chemistry and French. Upon graduating from college, I started graduate school in Chemistry at the University of Florida. There, I joined the group of Prof. So Hirata and began investigating molecular crystals, such as hydrogen fluoride and ice, using ab initio computational and theoretical methods. When Prof. Hirata moved the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the summer of 2010, I moved with him and completed my Ph.D. in the summer 2012. Currently, I work at the University of Chicago as a postdoctoral scholar with Prof. Gregory Voth, where I study the dynamics of the ATP hydrolysis reaction in actin filaments.
